Hi, I am 41 years old and was diagnosed when I was about 7. I have tried all sorts of meds. Right now I am on Risperdal and am really finding it of no benefit. What I am wondering is has anyone heard of this drug causing their tics to become worse?

Unfortunately I do not have any specific answer for this drug - I have personally been off of medication for about 8 or 9 years now. I do know, however, that every medication affects people differently and I have heard of some TS medication having the opposite affect.

I also wanted to mention that someday I plan to have a section of the site were people can rate and review different medications they have tried, as well as TS related literature and movies.

hi i am 55 had ts since i can remember, I was not diagnosed till i was 43 since then i have been on risperdal for many years and it did work at first but i gained so much weight that i finally got off of it. I am not on clonidine 0.1 mg it is working much better and i am loosing weight now finally. I have found that with my ts somedays are good and some are bad. I have found just recently that i am having aniexity attacks so he has put me on another drug. I don't like the added drug since it dopes me up way too much. clonidine does work you just have to find the right dose. I hope this helps
